How your photo is processed
Your uploaded photo is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded to our servers for image processing. Face detection, quality checks, cropping, resizing, JPG generation, and PDF generation all run on your own device using your browser's built-in capabilities (Canvas API and a locally-loaded face detection model). The image data never leaves your device during this process.
What we do collect
If analytics is enabled, we may record anonymous usage events (for example, that a document type was selected or that a download started) to understand how the product is used. These events never include your photo, any part of your image data, or file contents — only interaction metadata such as page views, selections, and pass/fail outcomes.
Payments
If you purchase a high-resolution download, payment is handled by our payment provider (Stripe, where configured). We do not receive or store your card details — those are entered directly on the payment provider's own secure page. We only receive confirmation of whether an order was paid.
Cookies and local storage
Vekyo uses your browser's local storage and session storage only to remember whether an order has been paid for, and to help a purchase survive a redirect to our payment provider and back. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Data retention
We do not store your uploaded or generated photos on any server, because they are never uploaded there in the first place. Photos exist only in your browser's memory for the duration of your session.
